Cotton Production expenses have reached a high level. Below cost MSP prices fixed by Indian Government are causing increasing losses to the farmers. |
Implement all the recommendations of the committees, so that the Agriculture Expenses can be calculated and actual data can be collected. We demand a Minimum Support Price of Rs. 4,500 per quintal. |

Total Cotton purchased by Cotton Corporation of India. |
Farmers are facing difficulties in selling their cotton due to insufficient number of purchasing centers of CCI. There is no proper facility to measure the length of the fiber in purchasing centers. To measure the length of the fiber only by hand |
CIFA demands that Cotton Corporation of India more establish more purchasing centers. CCI should make the farmers aware of quality and should organize training camps. Scientific and technical checking equipments should be kept for quality checking of cotton. CCI should provide ware housing and loans. So that the farmers can store the produced and sale it on good prices at a later time. |

Production of certified Seeds. |
Now 10-15 % seeds are supply by public and private sectors the remaining quantity is made by the farmers through their own storage and mutual exchanges. |
A plan of action should be worked out 100 % change of seeds. The production of certified seeds should be taken up by joint ventures of public and private sectors. In which they have received proper facilities and tax benefits. It may be supplied by fair price to the farmers. |

National Policy on soil Health & Productivity |
Due to excess you use of chemical fertilizers and non use of crop rotation the soil has been badly affected and needs immediate soil treatment so that proper quality and production can be achieved. |
A National Policy should be announced on soil Health, Diagnosis, and productivity. In this manner mobile soil testing labs should be establish. Farmers Should be issued with soil health cards. |

Categorization / Quality improvement of Bio-Fertilizers and increasing incentives on par with other chemical fertilizers. |
Vermy-Fertilizers, Bio-Fertilizers are all manufactured at a small scale which affects poor quality and high prices causes the damage of the crop and the farmers has to suffer losses. At the same time there are no quality guidelines for manufacturing of Bio-Fertilizers & pesticides. |
Bio-Fertilizers should also receive incentives like chemical fertilizers standard of specifics and quality of Bio Fertilizers should be established. |

The Research and Development |
In cotton R & D has failed to find a variety of cotton that remains on affected by the drought. There is no plan of action to produce Breeder, Basic and Certified seeds in quality. In India cotton production 390 kgs were as global average 603 kgs. |
There should be a research on drought resistant, warm, cater pillars, and sucker warms resistant. There is no research on Bio-Cotton production. CIFA demands beside BT Cotton. |

Ban on import of Cotton |
Government should not allows to import cotton. |
There should be a along tern import and export policy based on supply and demand. Government should not allow cotton imports without consulting the Farmers Associations into confidence. |

Transfer of Technology |
Methods of Multi Cropping & single crop should be stressed. Other Side of the globe second generation of cotton was released. |
Switched over the modern technology form lab to field. At the same time farming equipments should be received a subsidy of 75%. |
